The Perry Rotary Club is accepting applications from high school seniors for the Grady C. Moore Memorial Scholarship, which will $2,000 to a Taylor County student.
The scholarship is open to all Taylor County graduates in the Class of 2020 who plan on attending college this fall, including current seniors at Taylor County High School, Point of Grace, Aucilla Christian Academy and those who are homeschooled.
Those wishing to apply are asked complete the scholarship application and write as essay (two-page maximum) about what the Rotary axiom “Service Above Self” means to them. For the full rules and the application, e-mail marlex7@gmail.com.
The application deadline is Friday, May 29.
The $2,000 scholarship will be paid $1,000 per semester for two semesters.
The scholarship recipient must enroll in college in the fall semester following graduation and provide the Perry Rotary Club documentation of enrollment prior to the start of the semester.
Payment will be sent directly to the college or university each semester after receiving proof of enrollment for that semester.
A committee of Rotarians will make their selection based on the applications presented to the club.
