Taylor County Primary School (TCPS) and Taylor County Elementary School (TCES) students are invited to take part in a “reverse parade” end-of-the-year celebration this Thursday, May 21, from 4-6 p.m.
“Families, please decorate your cars with a minimum of your child’s name and homeroom teacher’s name on both sides of the car. The more decorations, the better,” TCES Principal Kelli Brannen said. “You will drive through the parade saying good-bye and stop at your child’s teacher’s table to collect any item your child may have left at school before spring break.”
Families are asked to use the pickup/drop off lines at both schools as normal.
• For parents who have children at both schools, “turn onto Howard Street from Pinecrest into the TCPS pickup/drop off line. Once you have made it through the TCPS line, you will continue straight through to TCES.”
• TCPS students are asked to “turn onto Howard Street from Pinecrest into the TCPS pickup/drop off line. Once you make it through the line and to the four-way stop, you will take a left to go back out to Howard Street.
• TCES parents are asked to “turn onto Howard Street into the TCES pickup/drop off line. Once you make it through the line and to the four-way stop, you will take a right to go back out to Howard Street. You will
not be able to get to the TCPS drop off line from TCES.”
