No re-hearing on Cedar Island foreclosure case

Florida’s First District Court of Appeal has denied a motion for a re-hearing filed by Cedar Island property owner Timothy Brooks, who was challenging an earlier ruling in Taylor County’s ongoing foreclosure case against him.

In March, the District Court of Appeals “per curiam” affirmed District Court Judge Greg Parker’s 2019 decision to find in favor of the county in the case. By issuing its affirmation “per curiam,” the Court of Appeals published the ruling with no written opinion or explanation.
