Ricketson celebrates dual TCHS and NFC diplomas

This was the look on Katie Ricketson’s face when she was given the news that she had been selected as this year’s recipient of the annual, Howard and Gretchen Leach Scholarship, worth $20,000.
While many of her classmates undoubtably used their sophomore summer break to soak up the sunshine and recharge for the coming school year ahead, Katie Ricketson spent the time laying out plans to obtain her associates degree (AA) while also earning her high school diploma.
“It was a goal I set for myself, and I worked as hard as I could to get it,” the 2020 Taylor County High School (TCHS) honors graduate said.
