Child, 9, injured in crash

Three Perry residents, including a nine-year-old child, sustained serious injuries in a two-car crash Thursday afternoon Feb. 7, at the intersection of Puckett Road and Carlton Cemetery Road.

Martha J. Shealy, 50, Justin Shealy, 21, and the minor child were all transported to Doctors’ Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Elizabeth Mathews, 18, of Steinahtchee, was cited for violation of right-of-way after failing to stop at a stop sign and crashing into (Martha) Shealy’s 1997 Ford Contour.
