No positive cases reported among staff, inmates at TCI

While Taylor Correctional Institute (TCI) has not reported any positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, three inmates are in security quarantine.

Security quarantine is a precautionary measure for inmates that have been separated from the general population because they recently transferred to the correctional facility. These inmates are asymptomatic and are monitored for any sign of symptoms before being moved to the general population.

Six tests have been returned negative for inmates.

The Florida Department of Corrections (DOC) does not report on the number of negative test results returned on staff members, but it has reported that zero positive tests have been returned on any TCI staff members.
