Ruben Cabrera and Jennifer Crain first purchased property here with plans to retire. However, opportunity knocked, and they answered by purchasing three buildings in historic downtown Perry as well as one on the west end of Main Street. At the city council’s May 12 meeting, City Manager Taylor Brown gave updates on a number of local economic development and renovation projects that are in the works.
