‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’ is wonderful

We’re nearing the end of May, and June is right around the corner. In a normal year, we’d be smack in  the middle of the summer blockbuster season, filled with Marvel movies, big-budget adaptations and mindless popcorn entertainment.

But, 2020 has been far from normal. I continue to catch the odd movie here and there released directly to the various streaming services. There have been some really good ones, such as “Extraction” and “Troop Zero,” however, for the past couple of weeks, they have been few and far between.

So, once again, I’m going to offer you not a movie but a television series to consider: “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” on Netflix.

The series had a 10-episode first season, and it currently remains to be seen whether or not a second season is in the cards. However, even if we never get more of the show, the first season is absolutely worth watching. In fact, “Age of Resistance” was one of my favorite shows of 2019.
