Artificial reef will receive 48 more modules

The Buckeye artificial reef, located approximately 20 nautical miles out from Keaton Beach, will soon receive additional material, thanks to a $60,000 grant from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

Taylor County applied for and received the grant, and earlier this year the county advertised for contractors to construct and deploy the artificial reef modules at the site.
