Penalties proposed for new boat ramp ‘no parking’ rules

When Taylor County commissioners re-opened county boat ramps in a contested 3-2 vote last month, they did so with the added restriction that parking along the adjacent right-of-ways would be prohibited.

At their Monday meeting, commissioners voted 5-0 to instruct their attorney to draft an ordinance that would “put some teeth” into that prohibition and also potentially extend it beyond the current coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency order
