The Perry-Taylor County community could be poised to see a nearly $900,000 economic impact this month as parents of Taylor County School District students ages five and up are scheduled to receive a one-time EBT (food stamps) benefit of up to $313.50 per child under Florida’s Pandemic EBT Program (P-EBT) program.
Gov. Ron DeSantis announced federal approval to implement the program last week. Given the local school district’s current total enrollment of nearly 2,800 students, the federal assistance will translate
into some $877,800 in economic impact on the community.
