Young mother killed in crash

A 21-year-old mother who had recently moved to Perry from Branford was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Cow Creek Grade Thursday afternoon, June 4.

Amber Lynn Boyd and her sister, Ashley Hilson, had spent the afternoon exploring the Hickory Mound Wildlife Management with Boyd’s four-year-old daughter, Gracie, and were returning to Perry when the pickup truck they were traveling in hit a pothole and overturned.
