The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) continues to evolve the sport of high school football, as the Board of Directors voted to approve a new “six-quarter” rule for the upcoming 2020-21 school year during the FHSAA Board of Directors meeting last Tuesday.
The new rule will allow high school athletes to play up to a total of six quarters per week in both varsity and junior varsity (JV) games combined, pending approval by the FHSAA on a school-by-school basis.
