    How will COVID affect hurricane shelters?

    As Taylor County, along with the rest of the world, continues to deal with the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, local officials are preparing for the possibility of having to open an emergency shelter when social distancing is still necessary due to the virus.

    Tropical Storm Cristobal, which brought heavy rains to Taylor County the first weekend of June, was the third named system of what is predicted to be a particularly active 2020 Atlantic hurricane system.
