Salaries for beginning teachers with the Taylor County School District could increase as much as $5,000 annually – from $32,400 to $37,400 – under a $500 million education funding plan signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis late Tuesday.
House Bill 641 earmarked $400 million to raise the minimum base pay for full-time classroom teachers, plus another $100 million to raise the salaries of veteran teachers and other instructional personnel.
