The biggest movie theater news since last week came right as you were probably reading last Friday’s edition, namely that two of the country’s largest theater chains have backtracked on their previous plans to allow masks to be optional for movie-goers when they re-open next month. Instead, they will be mandatory.
AMC Theatres, the largest chain in North America, was the third to announce its re-opening plans, and like Cineworld (parent company of Regal Cinemas) and Cinemark, it initially announced that it would leave it up to each individual guest whether or not they chose to wear a mask.
