Friday, July 10, is deadline to apply for Habitat home

Residents are reminded that Friday, July 10, is the deadline to submit an application for a Taylor County Habitat for Humanity home-build in Steinhatchee.

Qualified applicants must meet requirements for income and safety needs, Director Karol Newport Barr said.

The selected applicant must be able to pay the interest-free mortgage payments, which include insurance and ad valorem taxes, she explained.

Local Habitat volunteers are also planning a fund-raising yard sale Saturday, July 11, at 203 East Ellis Street.
