DeSantis vetoes $450,000 in Taylor County projects

Two days before the start of Florida’s new fiscal year, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the state’s $92.2 billion budget — after using his line-item veto power to cut more than $1 billion in spending.

The budget, as well as the governor’s vetoes, will have direct impacts in Taylor County in the coming 12 months, with local governments winning some appropriations battles and losing others.
