With the threat of COVID-19 continuing to loom large over the entire country, school officials here are working to develop plans that will give parents a choice – send their children back to “brick and mortar” schools, enroll them in a local distance learning (virtual) program or register them with the state’s virtual school.
“We want parents to be aware of every option that is available to them, and we want them to know that we are developing our own virtual school which will be staffed by Taylor County teachers,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. told members of the school board Monday.
