“Community spread” has caused Taylor County’s positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases to surge into the triple digits this week, increasing from 76 positive cases on June 30 to 102 cases on July 7, according to the local Department of Health (DOH).
Of the 26 new cases, 14 of the individuals self-reported “known contact” with a confirmed coronavirus case and no recent travel.
