Groundwork laid for ‘Stand Your Ground’

The attorney for Delrikos Brooks, who faces a charge of attempted first degree murder, laid the groundwork for a “Stand Your Ground” defense during first appearance proceedings held Thursday morning, July 16, before Circuit Judge Greg Parker.

Brooks was arrested Tuesday in connection with a June 30 shooting that left a young Perry mother, Mahogany Walker, severely injured.
