City Council passes mandatory mask law

In a 4-1 vote Tuesday night, the City Council approved a mandatory face mask ordinance within the city limits of Perry, scheduling the new requirement to take effect on Monday, July 20.

However, less than 24 hours after passing the ordinance, city officials announced an emergency meeting for Friday morning to receive additional public input and possibly repeal or tweak the ordinance prior to it taking effect.
