Longtime friend charged with first degree murder

Friends since the sixth grade, it was not unusual to find Ashley Wayne Adams and Patrick Alexander Wilkinson sitting around a fire on a Friday night.

However, this past Friday, Feb. 8, the normally friendly pastime took a deadly turn that left 40-year-old Adams dead and Wilkinson, also 40, facing first degree murder charges.
