    Posted on July 24, 2020

Tire tracks, uprooted grass, drinks and other items from a local retail store spilled out of grocery store bags, littering the final few feet Heather Luther’s Expedition traveled before impact with two pine trees on Jefferson Street in front of the U.S. Post Office.

The final moments of Heather Luther’s life were terror-filled and violent, unfolding rapidly from an attack in a local bank drive-thru and quickly escalating to a horrible crash and fatal shooting just off the sidewalk in front of the U.S. Post Office on Perry’s busiest street.

Court documents detail the deadly July 17 confrontation that led to both Heather’s murder and the killing of her friend and co-worker, Kirk Jansky, at the hands of her estranged husband, Joseph Luther.
