Perry Police Department (PPD) Chief Jamie Cruce reports that the city’s police force will be well-versed in COVID-response training, human trafficking identification and investigation and the latest use of force practices by the end of the year to keep up with the national standards.
In response to a question posed by a city council member, Cruse gave an update on the PPD’s training at a recent city council meeting, stating that all PPD officers will soon be undergoing an additional 25-30 hours of training based on current trends, practices and police science.
