Mary Helen Sheffield

Mrs. Mary Helen Sheffield, 77, passed away on July 25, 2020, in Perry.

She was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Perry to Mr. Willie Mirah Sheffield and Mrs. Opal English Sheffield.

Mary was of the Baptist faith and worked hard as a hairdresser for 45 years. She worked at Jewel’s Beauty Salon and had her own business, Mary Helen’s Beauty Box, for 15 years.

Mary was preceded in death by: her parents, Willie Mirah and Opal English; one son, Vernon Keith Blanton; and a niece, Selina Williams Gonzalez.

She is survived by: her daughter, Angie Clark, and her husband, Vern; son, Greg Blanton; sisters, Joann Sheffield, Myra Sheffield and Beth Roberts; one brother, Jerry Sheffield; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 30, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Andy Merry officiating.
