Patricia Erlene Granthum Wigglesworth

Patricia Erlene Granthum Wigglesworth , 82, passed away on July 26, 2020, in Dowling Park.

She was born March 27, 1938, in Foley to Ulie Granthum and Ada Matthews Granthum.

Patricia was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, singing and watching farm animals. She graduated from Taylor County High School where she played basketball and was voted Homecoming Queen in 1956.

Patricia was preceded in death by: her parents, Ulie Granthum and Ada Matthews Granthum; her two brothers, Olin and Udell Granthum; and her five sisters, Cleo Matthews, Ruth Hamilter, Dorothy Grant, Lunette Merrill and Nelda Williams.

She is survived by: her four sons, John, Billy, Wayne “Kim” and Steve Wigglesworth; her two daughters, Carol Taylor and Amy Wigglesworth; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held today (Wednesday) at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. Interment services will be open to all friends and will be held at Pineview Memorial Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., immediately following the private services.

All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
