While many festivals and concerts are being outright canceled on an almost daily basis due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the organizers behind Taylor County’s signature annual celebration, the Florida Forest Festival, said this week that they are making plans for a pared-down event this October.
In a statement released Thursday, the festival board of directors outlined their plans to live-stream two pageants online, hold a “socially-distanced” version of the King Tree Parade and an event-closing “drive-in” fireworks display.
