Approximately 1,100 voters – representing almost 10% of Taylor County’s 12,366 registered voters – mailed in ballots to cast their votes even before “early voting” began on Monday.
According to Taylor County Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland, the number of mail-in ballots received by her office as of Tuesday afternoon had jumped to 1,335.
