No escaping ‘Justice’K9

Dozens of law enforcement and corrections officers gathered at Perry Animal Hospital on Old Dixie Highway Thursday morning to honor and pay their last respects to Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) K9 “Justice.”

The aging bloodhound received a dignified send-off, as FDOC K9 team members from Taylor Correctional Institution (TCI) and Dixie County, Perry Police Department and Taylor County Sheriff’s Office officers formed a double line in the parking lot to give a final pat and scratch on the head as they said their goodbyes during an emotional “last walk.”
