Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland continues to seek members of the public willing to work the polls in upcoming elections.
“We are always looking for additional poll workers, and we are already recruiting for the November election, as we really have no idea what things may look like in a couple of months,” Southerland said this week.
“Poll worker training class will begin in September for the November election, so the sooner you apply the sooner we can get you in a class. We are limiting the number of participants in training classes to accommodate the social distancing requirements as well as the number of individuals in a gathering,” Southerland added.
“At peak voting times, there may certainly be a line, so we ask that voters please bring their patience, as polling locations will look and feel a little different this year because of all the safety protocols in place,” she said.
