Railroad upgrade on track

Work on a $17.3 million project to upgrade the railroad between Perry and Adel, Ga. remains on track despite the challenges posed by the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Last week, the Taylor County Commission received an update from Heather Pullen of Langton Consulting, which, along with Track Guy Consultants, was hired by the county to oversee the project and manage the $8.6 million federal grant that is funding half of the work.
