Neva Grubbs Butcher, 83, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020.
She was born March 5, 1937, in Perry to William Daniel and Ollie L. Bryant Grubbs.
She played the piano her entire life. Neva donated her time and talent to sharing God’s love through music. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by: her husband of 61 years, Shelby; children, Cindy Castlen, Lisa Blair and Travis Butcher; sisters, Ruby Wilson and Maxine Hart; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 10-11 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home (823 NW 143rd Street) in Newberry followed by a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jim Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Countryside Cemetery (10926 NW 39th Ave.) in Gainesville.

Laura Ann Campbell
Laura Ann Campbell of Perry passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020 at home.
She is survived by: her daughter, Nicole Bryant; grandchildren, Dominique Bryant, Shyeta Arnold, Keyshawn Dumas and Kiana Dumas; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Geneva Green (Sylvester), Luealla Baker, James Baker, Terry Baker (Deliah), Perry Baker, Joseph Baker Jr. and Leroy McQuay.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. At Springhill Cemetery in Perry.
Viewing will be held today (Wednesday) from 4-6 p.m. At Evans Walker Funeral Home, located at 907 Homer J. Smith Ave. Face masks/coverings are required to be worn. Attendees are expected to maintain a safe social distance.
