Section of U.S. 19 designated in honor of fallen officer

A section of U.S. 19 in Taylor County north of Perry will be designated in honor of a state law enforcement officer who was killed in an automobile crash in 2017.

At its meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, the Taylor County Commission approved a resolution supporting the designation in honor of the late Joshua S. Montaad, a law enforcement officer with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement. The 25-year-old was a resident of Pinellas County
