Gertrude Moody Nelson

Gertrude “Moody” Nelson, 77, passed away on Aug. 11, 2020, at her home in Perry.

She was born in Foley to Obrylee and Roberta Thomas Moody.

She was employed as a school bus driver in Orlando until she retired.

She leaves to cherish her legacy: her children, Natasha Space, Patrick Nelson Jr. and Brandy Lumpkin; one brother, Dr. Eugene (Moody) Mitchell; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 5-7 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. at Springhill Cemetery.

Those who attend the visitation and the graveside funeral service are required to wear a face mask.

Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
