Republicans to host Back-the-Blue rally on Sept. 4

Taylor County Republicans will host a “Back-the-Blue” rally Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to honor law enforcement officers and first responders.

The event will be held at the old Wendy’s restaurant on Byron Butler Parkway.

“Come and support our law enforcement officers, who protect and defend the people of Perry and Taylor County Florida,” organizers said. “We will be serving hotdogs and chips to all who stop by to say thanks.”

There will be a drawing for a $100 gift certificate from Perry Pawn Brokers and is open to all local law enforcement officers (sheriff, police, state troopers and correctional). Additional drawings for officers will be held with prizes being donated by Backdoor Bistro, The Fair Store, Ragans Ace Hardware, Johnson’s Bakery, Debbie’s Jewels & Gift Boutique, Studstills and Save-A-Lot.
