Money available for rent, mortgage relief due to COVID

Taylor County officials are now accepting applications from individuals who need assistance due to the economic impacts created by the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The county has been allocated approximately $175,200 through State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program with funding provided by the more than $2 trillion federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump on March 27, 2020.
