Former Assistant State Attorney Ernest “Ernie” Page IV is expected to appear in federal court next Thursday Sept. 3, for a “change of plea” hearing related to charges that he conspired with a “high ranking member” of the Third Judicial Circuit’s State Attorney’s Office in a bribery scheme dating back to 2017.
Page was removed from his position as an assistant state attorney and reportedly escorted out of the local State Attorney’s Office in Perry on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 20 – the same day that the U.S. Attorney’s Office filed the charges.
