Carrying backpacks nearly as big as themselves, incoming kindergartners and primary school students faced the start of school Thursday with nervous smiles and bridled anticipation.
Masked staff members met students at the Taylor County Primary School (TCPS) drop-off lane and escorted them inside, where they were greeted by classrooms decorated with colorful signs, posters and one new addition this year – plexiglass dividers at study tables.
