Art workshop attracts group to library

More than half a dozen art fans took part in a free workshop hosted by the Taylor County Public Library last week. Under the guidance of Tammy Mowrey, participants had a hands-on less in painting. This week’s featured workshop will focus on basic floral arranging and bow tying ($5 materials fee), starting at 6 p.m. Thursday. Next week’s program will be a presentation from Turkey Roost Nursery’s Abe Whitfield on layering and grafting. That program will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, also at 6 p.m.
