Arnold Junior Bates

Arnold Junior Bates, 79, passed away on Aug. 29, 2020, in Tallahassee.

He was born June 26, 1941, to William Arnold Bates and Bernice Strickland Bates.

Arnold honorably served his country in the Mississippi Air National Guard. Arnold worked with Reprographics for 50-plus years.

He was preceded in death by: his father, William Arnold Bates; mother, Bernice Strickland; step-father, Robert McDaniel; and brother, James C. Bates.

Arnold Bates is survived by: Patricia Creason; sons, Michael Bates, Troy Bates, Robert Creason and A.J Creason; and six grandchildren.

Arnold enjoyed spending time with his family, and extended family. He never met a stranger. He also enjoyed hunting in Mississippi and working around the house. His passion though was reading after he retired.

Private family services will be held at a later date. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
