State dumps Quest

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) and Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) severed all ties with Quest Diagnostics Tuesday after discovering the nationwide clinical laboratory failed to report nearly 75,000 “stale” COVID-19 test results.

The mass reporting of tests, some of which dated as far back as April, resulted in an “unacceptable dump” on the DOH’s coronavirus dashboard, skewing the positive cases reported August 31, according to a press release issued by the state.
