Although there was initially some confusion over whether or not the Florida Forest Festival’s “socially-distanced” King Tree Parade would happen this year, festival organizers have confirmed they are moving forward with the event.
The Perry City Council initially approved the festival board’s safety plan in a 3-2 vote, allowing them to hold the parade on the city-owned portion of Jefferson Street north of the intersection with U.S. 27.
