Sheron Howell Stephens entered into heavenly rest on August 28, 2020.
A renowned musician and singer in the North Florida area, she enjoyed singing for the Lord. She worked for the State of Florida as an accountant for the Department of Financial Services, retiring a few years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Samuel and Corine Howell; and a son, Carlos Stephens.
Her legacy will remain in the hearts of: one son, Samuel D. Ross; three sisters, Bettye Staten (Carl), Sandra Clayton (George) and Ranita Howell; a godsister, Miner Brookins; a sister in Christ, Elaine Hackley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation with the family was held Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home.
Another public viewing was held Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Union Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Tallahassee.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Old West Florida Primitive Baptist Enrichment Center in Tallahassee with interment in Memory Gardens.
Everyone is required to wear a face mask for the public viewing and the celebration service.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
