Bulldogs’ game against Florida High postponed just hours before kickoff

Just four hours before kickoff of their 2020 season opener Friday afternoon, Taylor County High School (TCHS) football players and coaches were sitting down for their pre-game meal when they received word that their opponent would not make the trip to Perry due to “COVID concerns.”

Florida State University (FSU) High School (Florida High) Executive Director Dr. Stacy Chambers called to inform TCHS Principal Heather McCoy the Seminoles were canceling on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
