Sinkhole in U.S. 221

The southbound lane of U.S. 211 was closed at the bridge near Boyd Road north of Perry while crews with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) investigate a possible sinkhole.

According to a FDOT representative, the crews (shown above) were in the process of determining the severity and depth of the sinkhole Tuesday afternoon, and that information will determine what is needed to repair it and how long those repairs might take.
