Emilia D. Evernham, 77, passed away on Sept. 8, 2020, in Perry. She was born Jan. 21, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Nunzio Mangini and Marie Guerrero Mangini. Emilia was of the Catholic faith, and she worked as a waitress for more than 20 years. She was also a Lady Elks member for many years. She loved crocheting and making blankets in her spare time; reading was also one of her many pleasures. Emilia was preceded in death by: her parents, Nunzio Mangini and Marie Guerrero Mangini; her husband of 36 years, Donald Evernham; one son, Thomas Fowler; and two sisters, Jenny and Josephine. Emilia is survived by: her daughter, Lora Harrop; her son, Nunzio Fowler; a sister, Anna Bernadette; brother, Nicholas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Father Mathew Bush officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
