Yates Creek ramp to close?

Anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts could lose public access to the boat ramp at Yates Creek in the near future, after a lease agreement between the Taylor County Commission and owners of the property expired last week.

The county commission entered into a 10-year lease agreement with Clark Properties of Taylor County, LLC, in June of 2010, which has allowed for public use of the popular boat launch and access point at Yates Creek over the past 10 years.
