    Plane crash debris found

    Posted on September 16, 2020

While braving rain bands and wind gusts spinning off of Hurricane Sally, local law enforcement officers recovered most of the pieces of a single-engine plane that crashed in the area of Dallus Creek off the Taylor County coast on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Investigator Bryan Hayden steers the TCSO boat carrying a wing section of the missing plane at the Keaton Beach Boat Ramp on Monday afternoon.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Dixie County Dive Team continue to actively search for the missing pilot and co-pilot while hauling in parts of the downed plane found strewn at least one mile off the shore from Dallus Creek.
