Movie theaters are back open… now what?

For much of the summer, as movie theaters around the world remained closed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, I wrote multiple times about what it would take for the theaters to re-open.

Well, now they are open, and a combination of lackluster box office returns and additional films being pulled from the release schedule is leaving the entire situation in almost as much uncertainty as when everything was still shut down.
